Mohammad Ali Shomali
This book contains eleven chapters. In these chapters, some of the major aspects of the subject of imamate are addressed. Efforts have been made to clearly explain every idea and to back up each claim with evidence from the Qur’an and Sunnah. To show that the doctrine of imamate is an Islamic idea and agreeable to all Muslims, narrations (hadiths) from major references collections of hadith of Sunni Muslims, such as six Sahihs

The present work was originally conceived as a series of
fourteen lectures delivered for an international group of
youths during an intensive course in the summer of 2004
in the city of Qum. A few years later, edited transcripts of
those lectures with added references, were published in
seven parts in the Message of Thaqalayn, vol. 12, Numbers
2, 3 & 4, vol. 13, Numbers 1 & 4, vol. 14, Numbers 1 &
2. Finally, those papers were edited further and organised
as a book by Sr. Shahnaze Safieddine. References were
again carefully checked, and more references were added
by Mrs Mahnaz Heydarpoor.
